Sanctioning what is it?
Pickleball Scotland is preparing a tournament and festival calendar and we therefore request that, if you would like to organize such events, you apply to us to sanction and register the events. This will
- Ensure the portfolio of tournaments and events in Scotland is put together in a structured and logical way.
- Enable event organisers to plan and avoid clashes that could affect the numbers attending.
- Allow members to see the options in the year.
Please note
- Applications for sanctioning events will only be accepted from Pickleball Scotland affiliated clubs and will be free of charge.
- Applications are required to satisfy minimum standards which will be assessed on submission of the sanctioning form.
- It is the responsibility of the organising club to ensure that they comply with the current venue health & safety regulations .
- Only sanctioned events will be listed on our calendar so that players may see which events have met the sanctioning requirements.
- Applications will not be accepted for dates clashing with Pickleball Scotland national and regional events.
- It is unlikely that applications will be accepted for competitions on the same day as another sanctioned competition unless the competitions objectives are very different or there is a significant geographical difference.
Individual club events that are NOT open to all and by invite only do not require to be sanctioned.
